Butter Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Ready-made sauce for butter chicken
  • 700g chicken breast fillets (cut into pieces)
  • 50g ghee or clarified butter
  • 4 onions
  • 70ml oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 100ml coconut milk
  • Serve with rice and chutney, if you like

Preparation

Mix the chicken with the butter chicken sauce in a bowl and let it steep (overnight if you like).

Heat the ghee/clarified butter and oil in a coated pan and sauté the onions for about 5 minutes. Then add the marinated chicken with the sauce and fry for another 10 minutes. Stir in half the coriander and coconut milk. Bring to the boil over a low flame one more time, garnish with coriander and then serve with basmati rice and (mango) chutney.
