Köfte - a classic from Turkey

Ingredients:

  • 350 g bulgur
  • 1 big onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp Paprika puree
  • 1-2 tbsp Paprika powder
  • 350 g minced meat
  • 1 parsley
  • olive oil to cook
  • Chili flakes
  • salad

Preparation

Preparation time: about 15 minutes (plus time for soaking)

  1. Wash the bulgur and let it soak for about 3 hours. Peel and chop the onions and the garlilc.

  2. Mix the bulgur, onion, garlic, stock, Paprika puree and Paprika powder well in a bowl and knead it well.

  3. Add the minced meat und knead again.

  4. Wash the parsley, shake it dry, chop it and mix it to the dough. Form small balls from it and fry them in a pan with hot oil. Besprinkle with chili flakes and serve with sald.
